Rotary ideals
Instead of Introduction: More than 90 years ago four men met in Evastone near Chicago, USA, to get to know each other and their activities better. Among other things, they realised that they had the same opinion about social problems. They decided to meet again and to invite their friends as well. And Rotary was born.The second step has been expected. They asked themselves in which areas their knowledge and material help was most needed. And Rotarian social activity was established.
The activity of Evanston Rotary Club was met by a great response. More and more clubs were founded and more and more people joined with similar opinions, and only social activity has been different depending on the needs of places and people, where Rotary Club operates.
Nowadays there are more than 25.000 Rotary clubs on all continents with more than one and half million members. Rotary Club Ljubljana was re-established in 1990, and some months later also Rotary Club Bled with help of Rotary Club Villach. However, the full swing of Rotarian ideas and activities is noted only in independent Slovenia.
The members of Rotary Club Bled celebrate the Seventh Anniversary of its existence and operation. We want a successful future and wish that Rotarian spirit would never disappear in Slovenia
